According to a survey on mobile dating apps conducted by Rakuten Insight in August 2024, approximately half of the Indonesian respondents stated that they used such apps to meet people they would otherwise never have crossed path with. The same survey found that around 30 percent of Indonesian respondents used mobile dating apps
