Because of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in Romania, by November 2020 there were approximately 1.5 million employment contracts terminated. The majority of them were in the manufacturing industry, totaling over 280 thousand. The hospitality industry was also severely affected, with a number of 130,460 contracts being terminated since March 2020.
