Insurance companies in the Asia Pacific region have been less likely to reduce working hours for their staff after to curb costs after the coronavirus pandemic. While nearly 70 percent of North American insurance companies had already enacted furloughs and layoffs, only 40 percent of insurance companies in the Asia Pacific had already enacted the former, and just over half the latter.
