As of December 2024, Tencent owned over 470 apps and reached approximately 1.26 billion app users in China. Alibaba followed with 168 apps and roughly 1.18 billion app users. TikTok's parent ByteDance reached a user pool of over 1.1 billion, overtaking the long-time third placeholder Baidu.
