In 2024, the penetration rate of fresh food e-commerce in China reached about 14.9 percent, increasing by 19.2 percent compared to the previous year. Fresh food is one of the rapidly developing e-commerce sectors in China. The gross merchandise volume (GMV) of China's fresh food e-commerce market has increased from merely 29 billion to 736.8 billion yuan in the past decade.
