Biotechnology capital expenses in Spain 2022, by type

In 2022, capital expenses of the biotechnology sector in Spain amounted to more than 205 million euros. By nature of the expense, over 66 percent, or about 136 million euros, corresponded to equipment and instruments. Moreover, capital expenses from the biotechnology sector for specific R&D software products reached around 7.12 million euros that year. That year, current expenses from the Spanish biotech field attained more than 2.3 billion euros as of 2022.
