In a survey conducted in November 2020 in Japan, ** percent of respondents living in the Tokyo metropolitan area stated that they took advantage of the Go to Travel campaign. According to the survey, Tokyo had the highest share of participating residents among the ** Japanese prefectures. The Go to Travel campaign is a government-sponsored initiative designed to encourage domestic travel. Its aim is to counter some of the damage caused by the COVID-19 pandemic to Japan's tourism industry.
