Suicide bombings carried out by Boko Haram in Nigeria 2019

In 2019, Boko Haram carried out 11 suicide bombing attacks, causing 68 deaths. Boko Haram is Nigeria's deadliest terrorist group. Over the years, the group became more dangerous and the number of attacks to both civil and military targets increased. In 2016, Boko Haram divided into two groups. Both groups see themselves as affiliates of ISIL, the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, also known as ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria). Nigeria is one of the countries with the highest terrorism threat levels in the world. In the said year, it recorded the second largest number of deaths related to terrorism worldwide.
