When French children between the ages of 10 and 17 were asked if they had watched online videos on platforms such as YouTube alone or with the help of someone else when they did it for the first time, the majority of children aged 10 to 17 reported having done it with the help of an adult. When the parents of children were asked the same question, the youngest were more supervised by adults for their first time watching videos online.
