Change rate of commercial vehicle sales in India FY 2002-2024

In fiscal year 2024, the commercial vehicles witnessed an increase in the sales volume by just 0.6 percent, in comparison to the preceding year. Two years of decrease in sales in 2020 and 2021 was driven by changes in axle load norms, allowing the vehicle owners to carry more load, changes in pollution norms, and a general slowdown of the economy.
