Investments in energy transition worldwide 2004-2024

The total global energy transition investment towards decarbonization amounted to over two trillion U.S. dollars in 2024, which was a record high. That was a 11 percent increase compared to the previous year's investments in the energy transition. 

Investments in renewable energy accounted for roughly a third of global energy transition investments in 2023.
