Most common duration before a trip to book travel services on OTAs in Hong Kong 2023

According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight on online travel agencies (OTA) in June 2023, 61 percent of respondents from Hong Kong booked travel services such as sightseeing tours, admission tickets, tour guides, restaurant bookings and more on online travel agencies several weeks before their trip. The respondents made their service bookings much less in advance than their purchases of travel tickets or accomodation. In comparison, people from Hong Kong generally made their online travel purchases more in advance than people from mainland China.
