Ecuador: most voted candidates in 2021 presidential elections

Andrés Arauz, a former minister in Rafael Correa's administration, was the most voted candidate in the Ecuadorian general presidential elections on February 7, 2021. According to the final results, Arauz received around 32.7 percent of votes. A runoff election was held on April 11, 2021 to elect the new Ecuadorian president among Arauz and Guillermo Lasso, the second most voted candidate in the first election round. Over 80 percent of registered voters in Ecuador cast a vote on February 7.
