Between January 2019 and December 2024, Europe witnessed substantial growth in third-party provider (TPP) registrations for open banking services, despite a minor decline in the last quarter of 2024. The most rapid expansion occurred during 2020-2021, followed by a noticeable deceleration in 2022. Notably, Q4 2022 marked the first quarterly decrease in TPP registrations since tracking began, signaling a potential shift in the previously consistent upward trajectory.
