At the end of the 2024 financial year, the Volkswagen Group had around 682,700 total employees. Approximately 78.6 percent of them worked in the passenger cars division, surpassing all other divisions in terms of employee numbers. Comparatively, power engineering was a business area that only represented around 2.4 percent of the company's workforce.
