In 2020, Singapore scored the highest possible score in the road quality and broadband variables in the infrastructure pillar that comprise one fourth of the Autonomous Vehicle Readiness Index (AVRI), which puts Singapore behind the UAE in fifth place. The AVRI help measure a country's preparedness for autonomous vehicles or driverless cars.

Breakdown of infrastructure scores for autonomous vehicles in Singapore as of 2020
The Autonomous Vehicle Readiness Index (AVRI) is based on 28 different measures distributed in four pillars. The variables under the four pillars are combined to to come to an aggregate score for each. Each pillar has equal weight in the overall score for each country and jurisdiction.
