Number of fintech investment deals in EMEA 2017-2024

There were a total of of 1,465 venture capital, private equity and M&A deals in fintech in Europe, the Middle East and Africa in 2024, marking another decline in deal activity in fintech. The number of deals peaked in 2021 at 2,696. The largest fintech deal in the region in 2024 was the secondary buyout of IRIS Software Group, valued at four billion U.S. dollars
