The source assigns the scores to the countries after analyzing several factors related to two dimensions of digital competitiveness, namely the ecosystem (venture capital availability, cost to start a business, time to start a business, ease of hiring foreign labor, skillset of graduates) and the mindset (digital skills among active population, attitudes towards entrepreneurial risk, diversity of workforce, mobile-broadband subscriptions, companies embracing disruptive ideas). The index scores displayed here are the overall scores. A higher score reveals greater levels of digital competitiveness.
