Russian high school graduates passed the Unified State Exam in the subject of Russian with 63.88 out of 100 points on average in 2024. The mean score in the literature exam was under 61 points. Such exams are mandatory for university admission in the country. While applying for a higher education program, a student must present results of the exams in particular subjects depending on the chosen field of study. For example, for an engineering major, Russian universities would most often require physics and mathematics exam results.
