Irrigation water use in Australia FY 2019, by crop
In the financial year 2019, around 1,225 gigaliters of water was used from the Murray-Darling Basin in Australia to irrigate land used for pastures and cereal crops for livestock. In the same year, around 925 gigaliters was used for the same purpose from the rest of Australia.
