In a survey carried out in January 2025, only 22 percent of the women interviewed said they were in favor of abortion, two percentage point above the male respondents. The age group with the highest share of people favorable to this practice was the ones aged 60 years and older, as 23 percent of respondents in this age range agreed with abortion. Views on abortion in Brazil also vary according to the income level.
