Employment in plumbing and HVAC in the U.S. 2021, by state and segment

In California, employment in plumbing and HVAC installation was over three times higher than that in the state of Pennsylvania in 2021. However, there were more people working in the manufacture of heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC-R) equipment in Texas. Most of the population working in this industry were employed by plumbing and HVAC contractors. This results are in line with the number of establishments of plumbing and HVAC per state.
