African fintech startups funding 2015-2023

Fintech startups in Africa attracted over 960 million U.S. dollars in investment as of 2023. The amount followed and overall increasing trend, however, it dropped compared to the last two years. Also, the VC value raised by fintech startups corresponded to around 40 percent of the total funding to African tech startups in 2023.
