Canadians' views on the country's 2030 emission reduction targets 2021

As a signatory of the Paris Climate Agreement, Canada has committed, among other things, to reduce emissions by 40-45 percent compared to 2005 levels by 2030. Many people in Canada believe that the country should step up its efforts to ensure that it meets the Paris Agreement's targets, especially women and younger Canadians. In contrast, when asked about this issue in 2021, one-third of Canadians thought this target was too ambitious.
