In 2021, the import of printed books and newspapers into Botswana amounted to an approximate value of 12.9 million U.S. dollars. This was a slight increase in value in comparison to the preceding year when 10.2 million U.S. dollars of the products were imported. Furthermore, South Africa was one of the main trade partners of Botswana in terms of book and newspaper imports, with a share of around 57 percent.
