In 2019, the import of copper and articles thereof into Madagascar amounted to an approximate value of 1.5 million U.S. dollars. This was a decrease in value in comparison to the preceding year, when roughly 1.7 million U.S. dollars of the products were imported. Furthermore, France was one of the main trade partners of Madagascar in terms of copper imports, with a share of around 52 percent.
