Fashion was the industry that paid the most attention to rules on social media transparency in Italy in 2022, with 26.8 percent of sponsored industry posts on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, X, and TikTok using at least one transparency hashtag. The food industry followed with 19.9 percent of posts, while beauty came in third with 13.2 percent.
Study analyzes all posts (with the exception of Stories) published on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, X, and TikTok containing the most used transparency hashtags in Italy: #Ad, #Adv, #sponsorizzato, #sponsored , #advertisingpayment, #productofsupplied, #advertising, #advertising.
