SberMarket was operating in 82 regions of Russia as of June 2021, therefore being the leading grocery online retailer by penetration rate in the country. Delivery Club and Lenta made it into the top three with relatively lower penetration rates compared to the leader.

Online stores specializing in online retail of food were taken into consideration. Data on the delivery of ready-made food, meal delivery services with recipes, and subscription services were not included in the study.

Stores covering 2 regions (Ozon Express, Azbuka Vkusa, O'KEY), were not taken into consideration.
Only regions where a delivery of perishable products is available were taken into account.
Moscow and the Moscow region, as well as St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region were counted as one region.
