Nord Stream was Russia's natural gas export pipeline with the highest annual capacity among operational pipelines, at 55 billion cubic meters as of 2023. Its twin pipeline Nord Stream 2, whose certification was suspended by Germany after Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022, had the same capacity. Power of Siberia, which transported gas from Russia to China, had a capacity of 38 billion cubic meters per year.
