High-speed rail passenger traffic in South Korea 2010-2022

In 2022, the passenger traffic on high-speed trains in South Korea amounted to approximately 14.9 billion passenger kilometers, which was a large increase from the previous year. The Korea Train eXpress (KTX), is the main South Korean high-speed rail system operated by Korail, which was inaugurated in 2004. A second high-speed rail system called Super Rapid Train (SRT) was established in 2016.
