According to a survey on consumer expectations in the fourth quarter of 2024, banks were the most popular savings institution in the Philippines, with 81.1 percent of surveyed households saying that they have a savings account in this type of institution. Meanwhile, 54.1 percent of respondents stated that they kept their savings at home instead of depositing it in a bank.
