As of 2020, 11 countries worldwide had constitutional protection against discrimination based on sexual orientation. In Europe, Malta, San Marino, Sweden, and Portugal had such protection. In America, only Mexico, Cuba, Bolivia, and Ecuador. The other three remaining countries were Fiji, Nepal, and South Africa.
