Usage of drinking water sources in Africa 2019
In Africa, about ** percent of the population used at least basic drinking water services as of 2019. This means that nearly seven out of 10 people in the continent used an improved drinking water source, where collection time is not more than ** minutes for a round trip, including queuing. Furthermore, around ** percent of people across Africa used improved drinking water sources available, which means they had access to improved drinking water from piped water, boreholes or tube wells, protected dug wells, protected springs, rainwater, and packaged or delivered water.
