During the COVID-19 pandemic, a survey revealed that anxiety symptoms within the French population seemed to be fairly common. From August 31, to September 7, 2021, over 23 percent of respondents to this survey scored higher than 10 points on the anxiety section of the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS). A score higher than 10 on this scale is considered to indicate a clear symptomatic state of anxiety.
