In 2023, the volume of investments in green buildings amounted to over eight billion euros less than for non-certified buildings in Germany. Investments on green buildings amounted to 12 billion euros in 2021, which was the year with the highest volume of investment on that type of buildings on absolute terms. Nevertheless, 2022 was the year with the highest share of investments in green buildings as a percentage of all commercial real estate investment.
