The export value of cartonboard has increased significantly over the past two decades, having risen from just 8.2 billion U.S. dollars in the year 2000. Cartonboard, or boxboard, is a type of paperboard used for manufacturing folding cartons. Meanwhile, corrugated case materials - also called containerboard - had an export value of 20.28 billion U.S. dollars in 2023.
