A 2022 study has revealed that online payment fraud is a widespread issue across the globe. In particular, merchants based in Latin America and the Asia-Pacific region are the biggest investors in fraud management, allocating 19 percent and 15 percent of their yearly e-commerce revenue, respectively, to combat this type of fraud.
