Russia's exports of engines for weapons were measured at 95 million trade-indicator values (TIV) in 2024. Furthermore, aircraft exports reached 696 million TIV in the same year. The total exports of major weapons from the country exceeded 1.3 billion TIV in 2024.
The TIV is a unit developed by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) based on known unit production costs of core weapons. It is intended to represent the transfer of military resources rather than the financial value of the transfer.

TIV (trend-indicator value) is a unit invented by SIPRI. It's used to permit comparison between the data on deliveries of major conventional weapons and to identify general trends.
The TIV is based on the known unit production costs of a core set of weapons and is intended to represent the transfer of military resources rather than the financial value of the transfer.
