Mobile gaming title Pokémon GO enjoys a very engaged gaming community - from May to July 2024, the Pokémon GO Fest drew millions of Pokémon trainers worldwide to three different host cities. Approximately 26.6 million Pokémon were caught during the event. The game celebrated its 8th anniversary in July 2024. The Pokémon Go Fest took place in person with Pokémon trainers in Sendai (May 30-June 2), Madrid (July 5-7), and New York City (July 5-7) being able to join physically while millions more joined online. The 2025 locations will be Osaka, Jersey City, and Paris.
