The Beijing Stock Exchange was the latest addition to mainland China's financial industry. In January 2025, around 265 billion yuan in transactions valuing were completed. The purpose of the stock exchange was to give SMEs access to capital because these enterprises often do not meet the listing requirements of large exchanges.
