A survey conducted in the third quarter of 2024 in Vietnam revealed that keeping in touch with friends and family was the most popular reason for using social media among Vietnamese internet users, as confirmed by over 59 percent of the respondents. At the same time, around 35.5 percent of the surveyed participants used social media to look for things to purchase.
