Share of fuel types in new passenger car registrations in Germany 2010-2024

In 2024, around 14 percent of new car registrations in Germany were for electric cars, while roughly seven percent were for plug-in hybrid electric cars. While electric cars still made up a small share on the market as such, figures did grow annually in the last decade.
