In the third quarter of 2024, Luxembourg was the country in continental Europe with the lowest rate of employment in construction as a share of all employment in the economy overall. The average rate for the European Union as a whole was 6.81 percent. Romania was the country with the highest share of construction employees making up 10.8 percent of all employees, followed by Slovakia at 10.38 percent.
