The European Union has recorded a positive chemicals trade balance throughout the past decade. In 2023, the EU's chemical exports amounted to over 225 billion euros, whereas imports stood at around 190 billion euros. The EU's chemical exports to the rest of Europe added up to 62.2 billion euros that year.
