Leading social media usage reasons in Mexico 2024

A survey conducted in the third quarter of 2024 found that around 58.4 percent of internet users in Mexico used social media to stay in touch with friends and family. Reading news stories was the second main reason for using social media for about 42.3 percent of the respondents. Filling spare time and finding content were important reasons for 41.4 and 40 percent of social media users, respectively.
