In 2024, China Resources Land received 3.15 million square meters of land plots, ranking it the first among all property developers in China. The company paid more than 54 billion yuan in transfer fees to local governments. Many local authorities in China are highly dependent on revenue generated by land transfers, due to a lack of sustainable income and high expenditures.
