As of 2021, there were almost ** million e-payment users in Taiwan, which meant that more than half of the island's population used digital payments. Whereas in mainland China WeChat Pay and Alipay were the most popular mobile payment services, Taiwanese e-payment users preferred Line Pay and Apple Pay.
The above statistics do not include pure mobile payment and third-party payment. Electronic payment is the most complete payment method covering cash flow services in mobile payment. The three core businesses of transaction, transfer, and value store between lenders are similar to those of a simple bank.
