As of the first half of 2024, high fuel prices were the leading reason for survey respondents across the globe to consider the purchase of an electric vehicle. The global consumer price inflation contributed to respondents citing high fuel prices as a motivator to purchase EVs. Around a third of participants highlighted environmental concerns as an EV purchase motivating factor.
