UK: impact of business commitments to sustainability on consumer trust 2022-2024
In all three years examined (2022, 2023, and 2024), approximately a third of UK adults felt they could be influenced to trust businesses about their sustainability commitments if they had transparent, accountable, as well as socially and environmentally responsible supply chains. As in 2023, about a fifth of surveyed UK consumers said they would simply not know what information to trust in 2024, while nearly a quarter stated that nothing could convince them to trust brands more about their commitments to climate change.
