The inflation rate of energy prices in Bulgaria have decreased in 2023 and 2024 compared to the previous year. Gas has seen a decline, with the inflation rate reaching -67 percent in September 2023. These developments occurred after Russia's invasion of Ukraine, which has been the cause of uncertainty over Europe's security of gas supply, as well as intense energy price volatility.
